Fullerton Heights

Fullerton, CA

Fullerton Heights is a mixed-use development consisting of 36 units affordable housing with 2,000 square feet of commercial space. 18 units will be for families, and 18 units will be for people with special needs. The site will include a community garden, playground, and community room for resident’s use. The residential portion of the building is broken into 3 – 4-story structures connected with open walkways. These, and an alternating color palette, reduce the physical mass of the building. A ground floor bakery/café with a vegetated roof will provide a pedestrian-oriented environment on what is a major commercial street. The project will be pursuing a LEED Platinum rating.

At the 2018 Southern California Association of NonProfit Housing (SCANPH) Annual Conference, A Community of Friends was was awarded the Beyond LA Development of the Year Award for our Fullerton Heights project.
